R.R. grade, disturbed soil, near S.W. corner of U.S. #1 & Mitchell Dr. Plants to 50 cm high; stem nodes swol- len, often with a "stump" (aborted primary axis) at each fork, these stumps also present in the inflores- cence; capsule 1.5-1.8 mm wide; gland appendages white, becoming pink.
