Ficus, Genipa volcanicola, Clethra, Dalbergia, Freziera guat-
emalensis, understory incl. Lauraceae, Cephaelis elata,
Uroskinnera, Trophis "chiapensis", Reinhardtia elegans,
Synechanthus, tree ferns. 17o07’30"N, 94027’55"W, elev.
1150-1250 m.
Tree fern; trunk 8 m, 30 cm dbh; frond ca 2.5 m, 13
pairs of pinnae, very small spines on petiole; scattered.
Field-treated in Calzada’s solution (50%ethanol + scant formalin)
