PLANTS OF NEW YORK Asteraceae Rudbeckia fulgida Aiton var. speciosa (Wender.) Perdue USA: New York: Cayuga County: Town of Ledyard, forest just N of Carpenter Rd. about 1.0 miles W by road from tiie intersection with Black Rock Rd. Lat/Long.: WGS-84 42.72768°N, 76.67693°W ± 3 m Along roadsides and in adjacent forest. The forest is flat, and the soils are of a high pH. The forests are dominated by Juglans nigra and Fraxinus americana with Juniperus virginiana nearby. The plants are well naturalized occurring along the road for over a mile in length and well into the forest with 1000's or more individuals. David Werier 5799 14 August 2017 04000871
