Mixed Dipterocarp forest, basalt soil; associates include:
Shorea, Knema, Lithocarpus, Artocarpus. Sloped hill.
Morphology:
Tall tree 25 m, 20 cm dbh. Outer bark golden yellow,
rugose, covered by lenticels. Bole with swollen hoops.
Leaves fleshy, dark green, dull. Fruit orange. Sweet to taste.
