NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 03996631 PLANTS OF NEW YORK Amaryllidaceae Allium tuberosum Rottier ex Spreng. USA: New York: Tompkins County: Town of Danby, 245 Eastman Hill Rd. Plants originally collected at Floyd Bennett Field, Kings Co., New York on 9 Jul 2017 (40.59407°N, 73.90109° W) and grown out in a container at 245 Eastman Hill Rd. till they flowered and then were pressed. Lat./Long.: WGS-84 42.32027°N, 76.39964°W Originally were growing on edge of old paved airplane runway / current paved area and thickets with Artemisia vulgare, Ampelopsis glandulosum, Morns alba, Elymus repens, Erigeron annuus, Bromus tectorum, B. commutatus, and Allium sativum. Only one patch was seem here that covered about 10x3 meters in area with 1000's of ramets. The population is likely the result of dumped soil or plants. I had seen this same population on 9 Aug 2012 and then on 9 Jul 2017 when I collected it to plant in a container and grow out till it flowered. David Werier 5815 13 September 2017 03996631
