No trunk, erect stem with clump of
fronds. Stipe 2.0 m, blade 4.8 m,
basal pinnae ca. 80 cm, the blade
being not or very slightly reduced at
base. Blade reduced to conformai apex.
Stipe has small thorns, rachis prickly
abaxially.
