on small dirt road, 2.5 km (by road) NW of Candelaria.
Brushy areas and trees along fencerows and in pastures, flat,
sandy, originally probably subtropical semi-deciduous
forest. With Lonchocarpus pluvialis, Cecropia polystachya,
and scattered Acrocomia aculeata, Attalea phalerata.
!7°30’S, 63°05’W. alt. 320 m.
Shrub 2.5 m. tall. Male flowers pale yellow-green, open,
seem odorless (2:10 P.M., sunny).
