Flat chaco shrubland with a discontinuous overstory of Aspidosperma quebrachoblanco, and with Celtis chichape, Caesalpiniaparaguariensis and a few other species. With Castela coccínea, Quiabentia verticillata, Pereskia sacharosa, and in understory Bromelia serra and Ruprechtia triflora are common.
