Sidalcea malvaeflora (DC.) Gray ex Benth. Wild Hollyhock, Checker-bloom. Fairly common locally on rocky canyon slope near Glen Park Recreation Center, San Miguel Hills, San Francisco, S. F. Cb., Calif, Co- rolla purplish pink, lined with whitish; fil- ament tube pale; anthers, in part, dusky or blackish, Lvs. darkish green, lighter be- neath (also light green on main stems); pet- ioles very light green.
