Plumas National Forest, South Fork Feather River headwaters near campground. Elev. 5127 feet. BOTANICAL Margin of dry sandy meadow with Trifolium. Achillea. Lupinus. Potentilla, Calvptridium. Abies. Locally rather common perennial, low stems ascending, radiating from taproot-rootstock; older stems sometimes rooted at base as part of rootstock; flowers pink; plant glaucous; fruit mostly immature, reddish when mature; female flowers darker, smaller than male flowers.
