Salicaceae Salix cf. petiolaris Sm., but ovary glabrous as in S. eriocephala Michx. det. M. Nee, 2017 WISCONSIN, Taylor Co., 13 km. (by air) NW of Perkinstown, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Forest Road 113, 0.5 km NE of junction with Forest Road 110. 45°18’52”N, 90°40’32”W. alt. 425 m. T 33 N; R 2 W; sect. 30. Marsh, flat, Carex, Scirpus, Salix petiolaris, Salix discolor. Shrub 2.5 m. tall, the stems to 1.8 cm. in diameter, to 7 or 8 years old, forming a loose clump or small loose patch. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw. Pistillate; catkins visited by small insects. Compare with nearby staminate plant in anthesis, Nee 63453, S. petiolaris. Coll.: M. H.
