Salicaceae Salix petiolaris Sm. det. M. Nee, 2017 WISCONSIN, Taylor Co., 13 km. (by air) NW of Perkinstown, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Forest Road 113, 0.5 km NE of junction with Forest Road 110. 45°18’52”N, 90°40’32”W. alt. 425 m. T 33 N; R2 W; sect. 30. Marsh, flat, Carex, Scirpus, Salix petiolaris, Salix discolor. Shrub 2.5 m. tall, a loose clump of several slender erect stems to 1.5 cm. in diameter and 8 years old, but often forming many-stemmed patches here. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw.
