Large marsh in floodplain of West Fork Kickapoo River,
along S side of Hwy. 56, with shrub Salix eriocephala and a
few large S. cf. x fragilis.
Shrub with leaning stem 3 m tall, from larger, horizontal
stems 10 cm. in diameter. Voucher for wood specimens at
Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw; this stem 5 cm. in diameter, ca. 9
years old. Pistillate; much less conspicuous when blooming
than the staminate, Nee 63386.
