Habitat
High banks around the settlement. Disturbed vegetation, originally non-inundated evergreen forest with scattered emergent Bertholletia excelsa. Rare here and elsewhere along rio Madre de Dios between Puerto Heath and Riberalta; one sterile shrub in secondary growth near Las Piedras and only one other possible seedling seen elsewhere.

Description
Shrub 3 m. tall. Flowers odorless; hairs tawny; calyx green; corolla white; anthers yellow with brown; corolla becoming larger and pale violet when older. One or two fruits forming at apex of inflorescence. Seeds brown. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
