(south), west side, between highway and agricultural
land, 0.35 mile north of Refuge Drive, 2.3 miles south
of junction Illinois Route 146 (Ware). South side of
bridge over Running Lake Ditch in vicinity of drainage
culvert at pavement marker 222. Mississippi River
floodplain. Ware 7.5 minute U.S.G.S. quadrangle.
Elevation about 340 feet. Disturbed wet silty sand.«rd~'
Marsh, drainage ditch, bordering agricultural land,
dominated by Leptochloa spp., Echinochloa spp.,
Echinodorus spp., Heteranthera limosa, Polygonum
spp., Lindemia dubia, Ammannia. Rather common
annual herb in drier areas, many still in seedling stage
as area dries; degraded meadow - marsh tilled for
agricultural use.
