Dry forest on flat area, with Anadenanthera, Pterogyne nitens, Samanea tubulosa, Phyllostylon rhamnoides, Achatocarpus praecox, Capparis speciosa, C. tweediana, C. prisca. 18°55.24’S, 63°26.22’W. alt. 450 m. "pica-pica". Small tree 7 m. tall, 10 cm. in diameter, gets to be at least 12 m. tall and 20 cm. in diameter here; sap milky; hairs stinging! Petals white. Coll.: M. Nee 51367 12 Nov. 2000 03962785
