Flora of Bolivia Family: Acanthaceae Ruellia ciliatiflora Hook. Determined by: D. Wasshausen (US), 1997 Department of Santa Cruz Province of Cordillera Town of Boyuibe Area alongside the ferrocaril tracks; approximately 4 km northeast of town. Elevation: 800 meters. Approximate location: 20°24' 15"S. 63° 16'21 "W. Perennial (?). Locally very abundant. Up to ca. 40 cm tall. Corolla dark violet. Fruits present. Habitat: a large, seasonally inundated depression. Without water at the time of this visit. Dominated by Verbenaceae indet. Vegetation type: Bosque Seco Chaqueno.
