Habitat
Flat sandy. Pastured former savanna with forest islands with Curatella americana, Samanea tubulosa, Attalea phalerata (and a few Syagrus sancona, Schefflera morototoni, Schoepfia tetramera.

Description
Tree 10 m tall, with a very few old leaves and a new crop of tender young reddish leaves being flushed now. Just beginning to bloom; calyx yellow-green; stamens white.
