Laguna Volcan. Located S.W. of Estancia Angostura,
above the road to Santa Cruz. Elevation: 1150
meters. Approximate location: 18°08' S. 63°39' W.
Diminutive sedge. Growing along
the edge of the lake in formerly
inundated areas. Rare. Fertile.
Bracts chestnut-brown. Substrate:
organic sediments overlying
sand. Habitat: a pond, with an area
of ca. 7 hectares. Dominated by
Potamogeton illinoensis and P. gayii.
Adjacent areas are dominated by
Typha domingensis.
