Subtropical, semi-deciduous "Chaco" forest,
4-8 m. tall, dense, spiny, briefly inun-
dated in rainy season, very flat, the soil
silty and fine sandy, with Bumelia obtusifolia
Capparis tweediana, Reichenbachia hirsuta.
On tree trunk, curled and brown, ± reviving in
24 hours when placed in a plastic bag with water
