semi-deciduous forest with many lianas.
Humus of topsoil up to 20cm deep. Avg.of
1500mm/y rain.
Small tree, low branching, branchlets
pubescent; 15m tall. Bark brittle, smooth,
brown to gray. Slash orange. Leaves simple,
elliptic, acuminate, margin entire or
crenate to serrate. Glands near base of
midvein. Few, simple, brown and yellow hairs
on blade and petiole.
