BAJA CALIFORNIA NORTE, MEXICO Nolina bigelovii (Torr.) S. Wats. <5* Plant with 10 rosettes of lvs., branching at ground level from woody trunk 46 cm in diam.; largest stem 1 m long, 5.5 cm in diam. at base; largest rosette 1 m in diam., wilt} 48 lvs.; longest leaf 60 cm long, 20 mm wide just above expanded leaf base. Infl. 1.55 m tall, 39 cm wide at widest point, with bracts early deciduous; stalk sterile the lower 65 cm, 20 mm diam. at base; 44 2° panicle branches, the longest 24.0 cm long; longest 3° panicle branch 5.0 cm long; tepals white. Arroyo Yubay, ca. 0.4 km west of Tinajas de Yubay and ca. 2.3 km ENE of abandoned mine at El Desengaño, on northeast-facing slope above arroyo. Near 29° 07’ 10” N, 114° 00' 28M W. Elev. 540 m.
