Semi-aquatic herb. Stems inflated
and floating. Common. Corolla
5-merous; at times appearing
4-merous when the flowers are
expanding. Fruits present. Habitat:
the littoral zone around the edge of
the lake. Dominated by a mix of
primarily annual species: Ludwigia
decurrens, L. sedoides and Caperonia
castaneifolia.
