HODGDON HERBARIUM TO UNIVERSITY QF NEW HAMPSHIRE hr Flora of Bolivia A Ml Family: Euphorbiaceae Caperonia castanaeifolia (L.) St. Hil. Determined by: N. Ritter (NHA), 1997 Department of Beni Province of Cercado Laguna Suarez, approximately 5 km S.E. of the city of Trinidad. Elevation: ca. 160 meters. Approximate location: S.14°52'20" W.64°51'55" Semi-aquatic herb. Stems inflated and floating. Common. Corolla 5-merous; at times appearing 4-merous when the flowers are expanding. Fruits present. Habitat: the littoral zone around the edge of the lake. Dominated by a mix of primarily annual species: Ludwigia decurrens, L. sedoides and Caperonia castaneifolia.
