PLANTS OF GEORGIA — 'DoogJir^'fy CO Setaria geniculata (Lam.) Beauv. Knotroot Foxtail. Locally common and gregarious in moist loam on rt.-of-way, Gillionville Rd., ca. 7.6 mi. W of Albany (N Slappey Blvd.), Dougherty Co. Perennial with knotty roots. Spikes grossly dull yellowish green. Blades (and upper parts of sheaths) a light glaucescent or bluish green. Culms light green to yellowish green, simple to weakly tufted. With Cynodon dacty- lon, Dichanthelium scoparium. Juncus margina- tus, Verbena brasiliensis. and Galium obtusum var. filifolium. Nearby was a cleared area with a few scattered trees, including laurel oak, American beech, and red buckeye. Repli- cates: 10. Robert A. Norris 5564 June 25, 19SS 03955309
