Kazbegi region,Dariali Canyon, ca. 100 m W of the main road, ca. 42°42'16 N, 44°37'35.4 E, ca. 1459 m. (coordinates from hand-held GPS). Meadow between moraines. Festucetum. Plant cover 95%. Veronica chamaedrys, Viola sp., Festuca supina, Amoria ambigua. Annual. Roots slender. Raceme usually fairly dense, pedicels deflexed or recurved at anthesis. Fertile flowers blue, concolorous or with whitish lobes (teeth). Sterile flowers smaller, few or none. Capsule trigonous, membranous and dehiscent.
