SAYERS, NGF 21646, 18/1/65 Locality: Wagau, Morobe District, T.N.G., altitude 3,600 feet, Lat. 6 50 S Long. 146 50 E Habitat : By side of small stream. Regrowth near air strip. Annot. Erect, fairly small crowned tree. Height 60 feet, bole 40 feet, d.b.h. 10 inches. Jinrk dark brown, deeply fissured peeling in long crumbling strips. Wood dark red, with faint odour. Leaves mid green above, very glossy; pale below; young leaves reddish. Fruit green, immature, slightly red. Fam. Euphorbiaceae Name : Bischoffia javanica Dupl. sent to : L. Bri. Canb. A.K. Bog. Sing.
