Description
spore length: 9 - 12 microns; spore width: 3 - 5 microns; spore shape: sausage shaped; spore texture: smooth; spore color: clear; spore print color: n/d. I used the above referenced publication and The Audubon Society Field Guide the North American Mushrooms (page 380). Unable to obtain a spore print due to the small nature of the species. Specimen was placed directly on a glass slide to obtain the spore photos. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Calocera cornea.
