Description
spore length: 10.8 microns; spore width: 9 microns; spore shape: subglobose; spore texture: full network of ridges; spore color: rusty brown; spore print color: black. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) confirmed that this specimen is Strobilomyces floccopus. But we are waiting for the Petersen et. al. paper on the North American Strobilomyces to sort out our taxa.
