Description
spore length: 9 - 12 microns; spore width: 3 - 4.5 microns; spore shape: narrowly oval to subfusoid; spore texture: smooth; spore color: clear to pale brown; spore print color: olive brown. Dr. Andrew Methven & Dr. Walter Sundberg verified identification. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Boletus pallidus.
