Description
spore length: 3 - 4 microns; spore width: 1 - 2 microns; spore shape: Elliptical; spore texture: Smooth; spore color: Clear; spore print color: Olive green. Flies were noted on the stinkhorn. Obnoxious odor. In bark mulch. Eminating from a sac-like cup at the base. Course white cords eminate from the base of the eggs sacs and stipe base. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Phallus ravenelii.
