Ridge top mature rain forest on uplifted coral.

Terrestrial, but probably fallen from an old branch. Rhizome
short-creeping, bases of fronds relatively compact, roots
forming a very dense mass on ground and also extending
up the stipe, even into lower portions of fronds (5-6 cm).
Rhizome densely covered with long, golden scales. Stipe
short, to 6-8 cm long, winged at apex. Fronds simple,
infertile in lower 50-60 cm of frond, fertile in upper 50-60 cm
of frond. Lateral veins highly conspicuous even in fertile
parts of fronds. Sori acrostichoid.
