Flora of West Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia) Polypodiaceae Pyrrosia stigmosa (Sw.) Ching Det: Edwards, P.J. (1/6/1994) Perak: Belum, Temengor Forest Reserve. On small limestone island c 5km from Temengor Dam and 20km SW of the Expedition Base Camp. 5° 27'30" N 101° 18'5" E 300 m Light forest on limestone. Common, forming dense mats on lower branches of small trees, and on lianas where they rest on/near the ground (limestone). Lamina very leathery, erect, with floccose abaxial surface giving a fawn-orange colour, adaxial surface dark green with white chalk-dots. Stipe lime-green to pale brown under the floccose layer. Lamina strongly revolute when dried. See Spirit Collection (rhizome) (at K).
