Tree 8 m tall, dbh 18 cm; bark whitish gray, corky and soft; slash
pale brown with burs along tree; inflorescences on burs along tree
and branches, light yellow; flowers of same color, fragrant.
Infrequent. Edge of primary forest.
Locality: Vietnam, Ninh Binh Province, Nho Quan District.
Habitat: Cue Phuong National Park. Km 4 from Bong (Helipad)
about 100 m north of CPI 8. Secondary forest, former settlement
of the Muong people, with some limestone rocks.
