Tropical forest in barranca 16 miles southwest of Autlan (seaward
slopes 6.5 miles below the highway pass); with Hura, Cnidoscolus,
Ceiba, Ficus, Brosimum, Euphorbia fulva; elevation 750 m.
Rather abundant along stream in valley bot-
tom, Scapose; leaves flaccid, to 2 m. long,
15 cm. wide; scape to 7 - 2 m. high, 7 ** 8 cm*
diam.; infl. half as long, its branches 1 m.
long; flowers opening green, turning yellow-
green; inflated filaments cream, turning
yellowish*
