Steep mountainsides ca. 80 km, south-southwest of Sola de Vega;
seaward side of the pass 25 km. above S. Gabriel Mixtepec, Mpio.
de Tuquila, and ca. 30 km. south of the Rio Verde crossing at
Juchatengo, in transition from pine forest to deciduous forest with
Pinus strobus; elevation 1450-1700 m.
Occasional under pines.
Leaves many in basal rosette, 1 m. long,
8 cm. wide; scape 3 in. high; flowers
pale green except tepals cream-green on
margins and without^ axils bulbiferous.
