SA 3H Flora of Bolivia Family: Poaceae Dactyloctenium aegyptium (L.) Willd. Determined by: N. Ritter (NHA), 1997 Department of Beni Province of Vaca Diez Laguna Tumechuqua; ca. 30 km SE of Riberalta. Elevation: 170 meters. Approximate center of the collecting area: 11°08'38"S. 66°10'00"W. Emergent grass. Locally abundant. Growing along the edge of the system in disturbed soil, in a seasonally inundated area. Substrate: sand and clay. Habitat: a large oxbow lake. This system is sporadically flooded by the Rio Beni (ca. every 10-12 years). Water type: whitewater- clearwater.
