Habitat: Clearwater stream.
Submerged aquatic herb. Growing
in pools in the arroyo. Frequent.
Flowers unisexual. Corolla white
with a burgundy center. Plants
dioecious (?). Fruits present. The
stream bottom varies from exposed
bedrock to sand. Numerous small
pools are present. Surrounding
vegetation: Cerrado. Habitat:
clearwater stream.
