Dry forest, reddish soil over dogtooth limestone. Exostema, Bucida, Amyris spp, Pictetia, Agave, Vanilla. Dogtooth limestone.

Tree, w/ open crown, multi-trunked; bark grey-brown; fruits immature, green, maturing blood red.
