Shrub, up to 2 or more m. tall, branches pubescent. Leaves mostly ovate, serrate, up
to 20 or more cm. long and 15 cm. wide, long petiolate, pubescent, mottled with various
shades of red, yellow and bronzy green, acuminate. Flowers monoecious, small, on slender,
axillary spikes up to 15 or more cm. long.
