At edge of beaver pond formed by impoundment of
small stream flowing north into Cedar Creek. Site
#76 (Lat. 34°17’42n; Long. 82°47,26"), ca. one mile
northwest of Hart/Elbert County line; ca. 0.5 mile
west of the Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. con
tour (full pool for proposed Russell Lake). àrea
be impounded in mid-1980’s by Corps of Engineers.
