The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Euphorbiaceae Acalypha stenoloba Muell. Arg. det. M. Nee, 1999 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Ichilo, at bridge over now non- flowing Arroyo Beni on road to Puerto Grether, 4.2 km. NW of highway turnoff from main Buena Vista-Villa Tunari highway. Highly disturbed secondary growth of former tropical evergreen forest, with Socratea exorrhiza, Heliconia spp. 17°13’S, 64°17’W alt. 230 m. Shrubs to 4 m. tall at edge of brushy area and construction. Seems to be monoecious, but most branches with only male inflorescences, some with males plus a terminal erect female inflorescence with green bracts. Coll.: M. Nee 50215 20 Oct. 1999 03924896
