NW of highway turnoff from main Buena Vista-Villa
Tunari highway. Highly disturbed secondary growth of
former tropical evergreen forest, with Socratea exorrhiza,
Heliconia spp.
17°13’S, 64°17’W alt. 230 m.
Shrubs to 4 m. tall at edge of brushy area and construction.
Seems to be monoecious, but most branches with only male
inflorescences, some with males plus a terminal erect
female inflorescence with green bracts.
