bank was followed into the forest. Relatively undistur-

Tree, 4 m tall. Leaf purplish beneath. Inflorescence
greenish.
Nom. Vern.: Unga lala upi wallo tape (Cayapa);
Use: For stopping bleedings from cuts. Prep.: The
leaves are macerated and applied to the wound.
