of dome forests at 4600 foot of mount Galelan; rootstock
short, sparingly branchedf horizontal or inclined, rigid,
about 1 inch thick, nearly black; stipes aye raging 3 feet
in length, arising from the sides of the rootstock, quite
rigid, green except the dark brown base which is covered
with similarly colored scales, grooved along the upper side;
frond as long as the stipe at least, asoendingly recurved;
pinnae ohartaaeous, very deep green above, much lighter
beneath, the sides more or less coarsely wavy, tips abruptly
