Near base of steep, mesic, west-facing slope along
floodplain of Savannah River; alluvial forest.
Site #12 (Lat. 34°03,30M; Long. 82°37'12”), about
1.5 miles south of the S. C. 72 bridge over the
Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake; impoundment of
the Savannah River scheduled for mid-1980,s).
