canic slopes and alluvial flats; natural vegetation humid
montane (cloud) forest, but partially cleared for pasture,
etc. Colima/Jalisco line passes through ranch. (Near 103°
42'W, 19°27'N.) Elev.1370 m. Lakeside, 3 km E of house
on main road to Lagos Calabozo & Epazote (intersection
of main road w/road to Caballerizas & airstrip). Soil
sandy. Erect terrestrial fern in thin soils on rock faces.
