Dear Mr. Lewton:
I am forwarding to you herewith some sam-
ples of seed cotton received last summer from Mrs.
Matilde Coxe Stevenson, collected at Tonyo Camp, Es-
pañola, Hew Mexico.
I suppose this cotton is some that the In-
dians had been cultivating in that region for a long
time, but I have no definite information regarding it.
