Road and just north of the San Diego county line (Fallbrook 7.5’
Q.: Near 33° 29'34"N, 117° 21'56"W). Alt.: 640m/2100ft.
Steep, bouldery granitic slope with chaparral; limited coastal sage
scrub at foot of slope; gentle slope with basalt substrate and grass;
perennial (Stipa pulchra) grassland on valley bottom. Loam soil
throughout. Minor draingeways on valley bottom, mostiy
showing recent erosion (small arroyo formation, headward cutting)
due to surrounding development and alteration of runoff volume,
some cut down to granite bedrock in places.
Solitary perennial in grassland, not associated with a drainage.
