GUERRERO: Sierra Madre del Sur, along the Milpillas-
Atoyac road via Puerto del Gallo, about 45 miles
southwest of Mexico Highway 95, 14 miles southwest of
Filo de Caballo and 8.7 miles southwest of Carrazal
del Bravo, in forested areas south of the road,
associated with Quercus, Pinus and other deciduous
trees at about 8000 feet elevation.
Growing only on moist moss beds.
