Prov. Jujuy, Depto. Valle Grande, 2 km. N of Abra de
Canas on road from Calilegua to Valle Grande, 14 km by
road S of San Francisco. Steep forested slopes with humid
forest of Juglans australis, Podocarpus parlatorei.
23°39.93’S, 64°54.16’W. alt. 1600 m.
Whole patch with only simple leaves, but some others here
with compound leaves. Stems weak, to 1 m. long, with
strongly undulate wings, the wings mostly purple, and with
some purple spots on the stems. Flowers odorless (12:30
P.M., overcast); corolla white;
