Ferns of Nayarit, Mexico Municipio Xalisco ANEMIACEAE Anemia multiplex Mickel sensu Mickel & Smith 2004, Pteridophytes of Mexico. Potentially three different Anemia species collected in the vicinity: CJR 3179 on more mesic sites, with rounder pinnules; 3186 with divided lacerate pinnules; and 3187 with an intermediate degree of cutting (3186 and 87 of drier rockier sites). This is, or is near to, the type locality for Anemia multiplex. C.J.Rothfels #3179, with G.Yatskievych, J.Beck, R.Dyer, A.Larsson, P.Rothfels, M.Palacios-Rios. Determination: C.J.Rothfels, September 2009 Hwy 200 south of Tepic, near the 24km marker. North of Refilion. Locally common on rocky/gravelly slope with scattered oaks and rich forb layer. On soil. 2009-August-14. N21.32616 W104.92003 +/-50m. WGS 84. 1010 m elevation. Duplicates: 3, to: MEXU, DUKE, NY. TOPOTYPE? Chromosome material fixed. This Anemia came from a slope with a more sheltered aspect and slightly more mesic than the other Anemia nearby (CJR 3186,3187).
